How to get rid of paint in Connecticut
Connecticut has a paint stewardship law. PaintCare has operated drop-off sites since July 1, 2013 for leftover architectural paint.
Facts checked against official state and town sources on 2026-11-05.
Statewide context
Residents can take latex and oil-based paint to PaintCare retail sites, some municipal transfer stations that partner with PaintCare, or HHW collections (oil-based always; latex sometimes). Check PaintCare site locator and your town.
