Who can use it
Derry residents for household trash (mandatory recycling). Non-Derry residents may only bring paid items such as C&D, sofas/chairs, or scrap metal. Mattresses and box springs: Derry residents only.
Hours
- Tuesday through Saturday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (arrive by 3:15 p.m.; gate locks at 3:30 p.m.)
- Closed Sunday and Monday
Sticker or permit
Required: Yes
Price: Residential permit sticker: no charge (issued at the Transfer Station). Temporary permit card (expires Dec 31) for new residents without a Derry registration yet.
Where to buy: Transfer Station during operating hours. Bring valid Derry vehicle registration, or proof of Derry residency (utility/tax bill) if the vehicle is not registered in Derry.
Notes: Cash, check, or credit card for item fees (cards 2.99%, $2.50 minimum).
