Hazardous waste
Hazardous-waste acceptance is not established by the transfer station page. Use HRRA designated collections after checking residency and appointment requirements.
Holiday closures
Closed New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Other notes
- Do not mix brush, trash, bulky waste and construction debris: mixed loads pay the highest $.10/lb rate on the entire load.
- Small residential demolition projects only; projects over 4 cubic yards should use an onsite dumpster. Commercial construction debris is not accepted in the residential container.
- There is a real source discrepancy in the scale-rate typography and resident MSW decimal. The Town table says ".05 cents per lb."; HRRA explanatory prose says $.051/lb while its own table says ".05 cents per lb.". Do not use this page as a guaranteed quote.
- All trucks, vans and vehicles with trailers use the scale. Only eligible passenger vehicles with 1-10 bags use the kiosk.
- The separate Recycling Center is at 59 South Street and has different hours (Tuesday to Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.).
