Who can use it
Richmond and Hopkinton residents only, with a free vehicle placard from the Richmond Town Clerk (Hopkinton residents get temporary passes from Hopkinton Town Hall when needed).
Hours
- Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (gates close at 3:45 p.m.)
- Extended Wednesday hours during daylight saving time: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: closed (closed on Tuesdays effective February 1, 2026)
- Closed holidays; confirm before you go
Sticker or permit
Required: Yes
Price: Free vehicle placard (does not expire). Lost placard replacement $5 at the Town Clerk's Office.
Where to buy: Richmond Town Clerk's Office at Town Hall (5 Richmond Townhouse Road, Wyoming, RI). Bring current vehicle registration for a Richmond or Hopkinton address. Leased vehicles: two proofs of residency. Temporary passes available for new residents; Hopkinton residents get temporary passes from Hopkinton Town Hall.
Notes: Cash or check payable to Town of Richmond only; credit cards not accepted at the transfer station per the February 2026 brochure.
