Sticker or permit
Required: No (see notes)
Price: No resident permit or drop-off dollar amount verified on the checked pages.
Where to buy: Ask Lexington DPW about access requirements.
Notes: Do not confuse the separately sold $25 home compost bin with a facility admission fee.
Per-item fees

| Yard-waste drop-off | Current dollar fee not stated on the checked pages; confirm with DPW. |
Common disposals
Pulled from the same official sources as the fee table. Confirm with the town if anything conflicts.
- Yard waste / brush: Leaves, grass clippings and other listed yard waste. Brush up to 4 inches in diameter belongs in the brush pile. Do not include invasive plants in yard waste.
Statewide context: Mattresses · Tires · AC / dehumidifier · TVs / electronics · Furniture · Appliances · Paint · Propane · HHW · Car batteries · Motor oil · Scrap metal · Yard waste · Construction debris · All guides
Hazardous waste
Do not bring general household hazardous waste unless the town specifically lists the material or announces a collection event.
Holiday closures
Closed legal holidays. Half days on Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve; exact half-day closing times are not given. Weather closures are possible.
Other notes
- Primarily a compost and yard-waste facility, not a household-trash dump. The town also lists selected reusable/recyclable material drop-offs.
- Use biodegradable bags that may be left at the site. Remove barrels and plastic bags after emptying them.
- The general directory lists weekday hours to 3:00 PM, but the dedicated Lex Compost seasonal table extends fall weekdays to 4:00 PM; use that dedicated table and confirm before travelling.
